Terms of Service

01. Acceptance

By creating an account or accessing before-invest.com, you agree to be fully bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

02. Service

Before Invest is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform providing tools to read and analyze the financial statements companies file with the SEC. Before Invest does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The platform is intended solely for educational and research purposes.

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

03. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account, with an email and password or with your Google account. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at: contact@before-invest.com

04. Billing

Plans: The most recent 3 years (or 12 quarters) of every company are free. The full history requires a paid subscription; current rates are displayed on our pricing page.

Billing: Payments are securely processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the recurring fee.

Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

05. Cancellation

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account billing dashboard. Access remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: You may withdraw within 14 days of subscribing; you will then be refunded for the unused part of the period. After that, paid subscription fees are non-refundable.

06. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • • Automated data extraction, including scraping, bots, or unauthorized API harvesting.
  • • Sharing your account credentials with third parties or allowing multi-user access on a single subscription.
  • • Commercial redistribution or resale of the structured data provided by the platform.

07. Disclaimer

Source: Financial data comes from the public filings companies submit to the SEC.

No Warranty: While we strive for accuracy, the data is provided "as is". Vincent Lagache EI does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data.

Liability: Before Invest provides financial information, not investment advice. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions, and Vincent Lagache EI is not liable for any loss resulting from decisions made using the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

08. Intellectual Property

The software code, database architecture, algorithms, interface, and design of Before Invest are the exclusive property of Vincent Lagache EI. Raw financial data sourced from public SEC filings remains in the public domain.

09. Termination

We may terminate your account if you engage in automated scraping, account sharing or resale of the data. We will notify you by email. Fees already paid are not refunded in that case.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France. Consumers may also bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms or our prices. Subscribers will be notified by email at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect; price changes apply from the next billing period. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription before the change applies.
